The Primary Scholarship 2026 is an important public exam for Class 5 students in Bangladesh.

What is Primary Scholarship?
Primary Scholarship gives students special cash and recognition. It is given by the government of Bangladesh for talented Class 5 students. The Primary Scholarship Examination is a competitive test in Bangladesh.
Successful candidates are awarded monthly stipends to financially support their studies up to Class 8. The Prathomik btrii program aims to recognize academic merit and help reduce dropout rates at the post-primary level.
Winners get a monthly stipend.
- Students who receive the TalentPool Scholarship (āĻŽā§āĻ§āĻžāĻŦā§āĻ¤ā§āĻ¤āĻŋ) will get a one-time payment of Tk 225 and Tk 300 per month.
- Students who receive the General Scholarship (āĻ¸āĻžāĻ§āĻžāĻ°āĻŖ āĻŦā§āĻ¤ā§āĻ¤āĻŋ) will get a one-time payment of Tk 225 and Tk 225 per month.
Who can attend Primary Scholarship
The 2026 scholarship exam introduces an important change: kindergarten schools will participate alongside government primary schools.

Scholarship Participation Percentage
This is the first time kindergarten schools are formally included with a fixed participation ratio. Only registered kindergarten institutions will be allowed to nominate students under the 20% quota.

The exam will be held in all districts of the country except the three hill districts, according to the schedule below. The exam will take place every day from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Primary Scholarship Admit Card
Authorities have instructed all schools to distribute admit cards for the Primary Scholarship Examination 2026 to the students. The notice was sent to the principals and head teachers of all secondary-level institutions under the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE). According to the notification, the admit cards have already been sent online to the schools. The schools have been asked to download the admit cards, print them, and give them to the examinees before the exam.
Students must collect their admit cards from their schools at least 7 days before the exam.
